The season 23/24 starts with a theatrical experiment: The Crocodile Bar at the Festival Oude Muziek, Utrecht is a revue in Cabaret-style, designed for the festival's theme: REVIVAL. It combines baroque and neo-baroque music with cabaret songs from the 1930s - a period when baroque music got fashionable again.

Concerts of traditional repertory (among others: Haydn's Creation in Brugge and Brussels with Brussles Philharmonic under Music Director Kazushi Ono; Winterreise on a tour to Japan) will be followed by several opera productions: Schoenberg's Opera Moses und Aron at the Opera of Bonn, Venus and Adonis at Schloß Herrenhausen in Hannover, Telemann's Sieg der Schönheit with the acclaimed Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin at the Telemann-Festtage Magdeburg and Iphigénie en Aulide at the Kammeroper Rheinsberg.

Several concerts for the memorial of Schönberg's 150th brithday and Lied recitals are other highlights in Henschel's agenda.
