The year 2023 starts with a new production of Busoni's Doktor Faust at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Under the direction Davide Livermore, conducted by Cornelius Meister Henschel will impersonate the title role - the same one for which he was awarded with a GRAMMY award at the beginning of his career.

Further opera activities include . Gaetano Donizetti's opera Rita in March at the Opéra de Tours.

Gustav Mahler's Lied von der Erde with the orchestra of Palma and Schönberg's Gurre-Lieder with the States Opera Prague are other highlights in Henschel's agenda.
